A little room to begin
We are making a friendly place to try things, ask basic questions, and help each other take a first step. Friends first, with room to learn.
We are building se.city as a small sandbox for ideas: a welcoming place to begin, with people to ask when the next step is unclear.
The first version of an idea is often hard to explain. There may be a few notes, a half-built page, or something we have only talked about with a friend. That is enough to start a conversation here.
Friends first
We would like to understand what matters to the person making the thing. Maybe they want to share their work, help a neighbour, or see whether an idea could become a small business. We can look for a manageable first step together.
We can explain an unfamiliar tool, help make a page, or give an early version somewhere to live. Asking a basic question is part of learning. A change of direction is useful information too.
Give more than we take
We help first, and only ask for something back once a project succeeds. We work out together what success means and what giving back could look like, so everyone feels comfortable with it.
We want that help to make room for the next person as well. The shape may be different for each project; the spirit is to share what becomes possible when things go well.
A place that grows with us
We are making room for our own projects first, while welcoming friends who would like to build alongside us. The four directory examples here are labelled concepts. We will add the real projects as their details are ready to share.
Questions, kind thoughts, and things we haven’t figured out yet. There’s room for all of them.
